Brazil

Well then, it's finally happened. I am now a resident of the United States of South America, better know as Brazil!

So right, I haven't been working on my art and stuff back in New York because I was dis-motivated with the entire "deportation" thing, but now that I'm here the motivation is back. Maybe it has something to do with the amazing views of mountains in my town of Estancia Velha here, or maybe it's the non-polluted air.  Or maybe its the fact that I just graduated high school, but I won't be 18 for another couple of months, and since it's not legal for me to work till then, I have nothing better to do- seeing as how to enroll in a college here I need to know Chemistry, and the history of this country.

Alrighty then, let's get to it!

The only thing I remember from Earth science was "an object in motion, stays in motion..."
Now, I'm not an object or anything but after a long period of reflection, and being mentally challenged, I believe I am on a course of Expression that will lead to a constant flow of art (photography mainly) at a better level.

So, what do I have to thank for this new found energy?  I would owe it to Guitar! (That's not a punctuation error, I named my guitar Guitar) It sure was a rocky start with guitar.  My left hand spazzmed often, because of my short stubby fingers, but I gotta say I am progressing rather fast.

And, to finish this all off, AP 2-Dimensional Design is pretty much done so I can finally focus on what I actually want to work on.

Whatever

Alright then, other then getting this CSS to work again, nothings really been happening.
The first semester is officially over, and now, I actually have a free period!  A free period, my senior year, whoa!  This entire year I've been dreading Construction, which takes up 3 periods of my day, but I'm sure all this trade knowledge will help me in the future so I'll just stick it out.

Not sure whats going on with DA, but I'll keep my CSS on the downlow until some new codes are out.
In other news, recently I've been motivated to work, which I find weird.  This week I've gotten alot of editing done for the video yearbook, as well as written a few skits for it, and had a solo photo shoot.  I don't know whats going on, maybe I've finally found a Muse.
Hope I can keep this up.

Alright, so I finished what was supposed to be my 9th (but actually my third concentration,) and my AP teacher decided he was going to put it in a show to represent my AP class.
Now, of course I'm proud of myself, I mean it was the best charcoal piece I've ever done, but what the hell is my instructor thinking?!  There are better qualified candidates from my class...

Now, not that anyone reads this or whatever, (I expect if I ever get a DD that people will start reading my journal) I've decided to change my focus from charcoal to Photography, to catch up.  The only problem is my instructor probably doesn't want to hear this.  Oh well, it's My concentration.

Finally!

Alright, so with the entire "I'm moving to Brazil over the summer" thing, I've been really displaced as an artist, thinking too much about the future, and whats going to happen with my life. Weather I'm gonna stay In Brazil for a few years, or only six months then return to New York and find a job, roommate, and a college. Regardless, I'm going there for at least six months from the 4th of July (how ironic) till December 6th, when I turn 18. At least I get to finish my senior year here at Sewanhaka.

Well all that up there has settled in and I'm content. I'm sure wherever I end up I'll do fine, and since it's all settled in, I'm getting a lot of my artistic motivation back, so I'm actually excited school resumes tomorrow because I want to raid the AP art closet and get me some canvas, and use the lighting equipment from the Photography club.

Oh yeah, the point of this journal, I am a subscriber now :D. Got myself a subscription to help keep me motivated, and from now on, I'm going to focus mainly on using my Canon, developing my skills with Prismacolors, and trying to teach myself how to digitally paint and draw with Photoshop CS4 and Corel Painter X. (And some video editing here and there for the VY)

Looks like I finally got my interest back in photography, thanks to the really expensive portraiture equipment I was able to set up and synchronize today.  Good thing for me, really. Just editing the Homecoming footage I shot, I realized my videography isn't as good as my rivals.

I can't believe it, I'm actually updating the journal here at least once a week... Knowing that no more than 3 people, if I'm lucky, will even read it.

oh well...

I've also been looking at the contests around here, I'm in the mood to win a DA sub :x

Looking forward to expand... erm... Start, my portfolio in portraiture.

Well, my dreams of going to College here in NY next year are pretty much ruined.  With my parents leaving to go to Brazil, and me being underage I have to go with them.

But hey, who knows, maybe I'll get to stay, or if I go, I might actually find myself there.

Today I finally got some mail from my first-choice college, SUNY Purchase.  Now, I need a portfolio to apply to their school of Art + Design, thing is, I only have like 4 things I'd actually submit as a portfolio (I don't believe any of the works I'm mentioning are on DA :X).

So... I pretty much want whoever to give me some projects to do.  Preferably something I can do digitally, but I'll go for everything short of painting, just because I dont have any paint.

Alright, Finally chose my concentration for AP.
Archangels... yeah....
And I do intend to scan and upload my non-digital work eventually.

In other news... I got past a minute in "Snow" in RB.
Shuttup, I'm proud of myself.
I'm also out to get my Permit tomorrow after school, so its a relief knowing Maser won't kill me.  But I totatlly forgot if I have drivers ed in the morning... Oh well, I'll just sketch if I show up and there isn't.
